🚢✨ We have 1 room that just opened up on our Southern Caribbean Virgin Voyage out of San Juan January 16-23, 2027 at a rate of over $800 less than current posted rates.

The cruise will be visiting St. Kitts, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Barbados and Martinique.

The room is a Sea Terrace room for 2 adults for $3056 total with $350 onboard credit. The only caveat is that the deposit of $529.20 would be due via Venmo/Zelle since we have to send that to the current owners of the reservation. The rest can be paid via credit card by the due date of September 18.

The start to our South African journey started here:

A small brick house. A street that changed the world. A man who redefined freedom.

Soweto was built to contain people. In the early 1900s, Black South Africans were forcibly moved to these townships on the outskirts of Johannesburg, pushed to the margins by a system designed to strip them of their rights, their voice, and their dignity.

But Soweto refused to be silenced.

In 1976, its young people rose up in one of the most defining moments in history, the Soweto Uprising, when students took to the streets to protest an oppressive government that wanted to erase even their language. The world watched. And nothing was ever the same.

Nelson Mandela grew up knowing that world. He became a lawyer, an activist, and a voice for the millions who had none. The apartheid government called him a threat and locked him away for 27 years. Twenty seven years behind bars for believing that every human being deserved to be free.

And when he finally walked out in 1990, he didn’t walk out angry. He walked out with grace, led South Africa to its first free and fair democratic election, and became the nation’s first Black president.

We stood on Vilakazi Street, the only street in the world to have been home to two Nobel Peace Prize winners, and looked at the modest home where Mandela once lived. It was small. Humble. And yet everything about it felt enormous.

Soweto is not just a destination. It is a reminder of what the human spirit is capable of. 🖤💛🟢
