I finally started reading your book, and I wish I had sooner! I am only into chapter 5 as of now, but I could hardly put it down! Your writing is beautiful; I love how you begin the story, and there is such a strong nostalgic tone throughout thus far - even your acknowledgements at the front feels nostalgic; the author's note made my hair stand on end. You do a great job moving into the training and the first flight on the 747, while periodically reminding us about Giuseppe waiting in Rome. I love how you incorporate the Italian language, too - as a very proud Italian myself, I enjoy this. I also had no idea you were fluent in two languages!

I can't wait to see what happens! You use foreshadowing expertly, and your similes and metaphors are very sharp. I am so very impressed! I will send over more feedback once I finish it, but I had to say, already, I am a fan of your writing.
