Motor Vehicle Collision involving a child

At approximately 8:25 p.m. tonight, October 31, a truck traveling north on the 100 block of Walker Street, in Burgaw, struck a child and left the scene.

The truck is believed to be a 2003-2007 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab truck with a camper shell. Looking at the video footage of the truck, it appears that the cab and bed, on the driver’s side, do not
match.

This is an ongoing investigation, and we do not have any further information that can be released at this time.
