Tatum's Totes In Tatum's memory we will be donating comfort bags to VT children entering the foster care system. 🩵 Through their unimaginable grief they found foster care.

Alex and Elizabeth Grimes lost their 5 month old son, Tatum to SIDS May 5th 2013. What a life changing experience for them. 7 years they were foster parents and 7 children later they have retired from foster care. Their family is complete and that is a wonderful feeling. Through the years of fostering Liz and Alex saw what little these children came in to the system with. One child came with just

a fire truck. No shoes on his feet. Something needed to be done about all of this. Tatum’s Totes was created by Liz and Alex. It is to help Vermont foster children transition to their tree foster home. Beautifully named to honor their beautiful son Tatum. Each Tatum’s Tote includes new items to comfort these children in need. Items such as pajamas, blankets, stuffed animals, toys, toothbrushes, toiletries and more. Tatum’s Totes was created in 2015 and is successfully covering most of the state of Vermont. They help foster families get cribs, beds, car seats, strollers and more. They run a very successful Christmas drive every year where 600+ Vermont foster children are showered with Christmas gifts. They help with the cost of summer camps, students entering college that have been in the foster system and more! Tatum’s Totes is a nonprofit organization and it runs solely on the donations from the community. Thank you all for your generosity and support. ���

Update- With summer approaching, we are looking for donations of strollers, wagons and kids bikes. We really would love them in good/great condition!!

Hi, Tatum's Totes Family, as part of our mission to replenish our backpack supplies, we are concentrating on collecting items for teen boys over the next few weeks. Every Wednesday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tatum's Totes in the Howe Center, Rutland, will be collecting donations. Specifically, we are in need of -

soft adult-sized throw blankets,
men's socks (all sizes),
water bottles,
toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, face wash),
boxers/underwear,
chapstick,
plain adult-sized T-shirts
journals/notebooks.

The Middlebury DCF office is actively seeking foster homes for multiple sibling sets.

We currently have urgent needs for the following children: a sibling set of two girls requiring placement by June 12th, a sibling set of three boys needing a home by mid-June, and a sibling set consisting of one boy and one girl who require placement by May 11th.

If you know of any educators, therapists, community partners, or individuals who may be interested in providing a loving home for these children, please encourage them to contact Andrea Grimm at [email protected] or Carey Braidt at [email protected].

Yesterday, Tatum's Totes was thrilled to participate in Heritage Family's Shiver Me Shamrocks 5K, where they generously presented us with an extraordinary donation! We're filled with gratitude for your support of our organization, which will profoundly impact the foster care community. What a joy to be part of this spectacular event! We're already counting down the days until next year's celebration, eager to join in on the fun with every one!
