...just wrapped up putting together a honeymoon trip for a client through Italy and Crete. There is nothing I love more than curating a trip, putting myself in other people's shoes and dreaming about what would make this trip the absolute dreamiest of all the trips, taking into consideration what they want to see and how they navigate through their days while on vacation. Now I have to sit and wait - and if I'm excited, I can't even imagine how they feel!

The best part is that all they had to do was tell me what they wanted to see and do, how they travel and then review the selections I gave them so I can book it all and send them their itinerary (with plenty of suggestions for food and additional sights to see!). I get to do what I love, they get to do what they love. It's a win-win!

...sometimes our travels take us places we don't expect to be. For us, we recently spent a long weekend in San Luis Obispo celebrating my sister-in-law. Today, Eric is spending a night in Flagstaff, AZ as he takes his son to college. Not all travel is to satisfy our need for relaxation or fun--sometimes, it's to be there for our family or friends when we are needed. For all of these occasions, there are travel arrangements to be made and we are here for you. Travel logistics are the last thing you need to be focused on. Let us lighten the load for you.

Oh, Whidbey Island! What a sweet little island you are. On a quick visit to Seattle, I got to take the ferry over to the island (an experience I have been looking forward to for a long time!), and drive up to Deception Pass, and through the waterfront towns of Oak Harbour and Coupeville. Deception Pass was everything I wish for in the Pacific Northwest, from the scent of the forest to the lush, mossy trails along the coast.
On the trip back, we stopped at the Farm Stand, where I picked up some salsas, but on a sunny day, I imagine the scent of waffle cones would have lured me into a giant ice cream cone.
Oak Harbour is a decent sized town on the north end of the island, complete with your standard hotels and restaurants (a lot of fast food, but I'll allow it), and serves the nearby naval station. The waterfront is filled with cute shops, thrift stores and of course, ice cream parlors.
In Coupeville, we stopped for fish and chips at Toby's and enjoyed the views both inside and out over the water. Coupeville is a perfectly quaint waterfront town, and I can't wait to go back and stay in one of the B&B's near the main street.
Though it was a rainy Monday and a lot of shops were closed, Whidbey stole a little piece of my heart. I can't wait to go back and spend a few days exploring.
