Rider Alert: A bus bridge is in place on the Blue Line between Broadway Station and Fruitridge Station due to platform grinding work at 4th Ave/Wayne Hultgren and City College stations.

Watt/I‑80 Transit Center Update 🚧
We’ve got new photos in of the construction efforts to share!

And a quick reminder for riders:

📆Starting TOMORROW, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, construction will shift to the southbound (west side) of the upper level.

Here’s what to expect:
• Northbound bus stop (east side) is now OPEN
• Northbound stairs & elevator have reopened
• The temporary stop in front of Wendy’s will continue regular service, but is no longer needed for Watt/I‑80 riders
• Route 15 detour has ended

Beginning tomorrow:
• Southbound bus stop (west side) will CLOSE
• Southbound stairs & elevator will also close
• Riders on Routes 1, 26, 84 and 93 should use the temporary stop on Watt Ave near Longview Dr, in front of the Sacramento Inn & Suites

This is the final phase of the Watt/I‑80 Transit Center Improvement Project. The full station is expected to reopen later this fall. Learn more at sacrt.com/WattI80.

Rider Alert: Beginning Saturday, August 29, 2026 through Sunday, August 30, 2026, Blue Line light rail service will be temporarily suspended between Broadway Station and Fruitridge Station due to platform grinding work at 4th Ave/Wayne Hultgren and City College stations. During this required maintenance window, both stations will be closed and tracks will be impassable in the work zone.

SacRT will operate a bus bridge to support riders throughout the weekend disruption.

Meetings are open to the public and held at 1102 Q Street, 4th Floor Suite 4600.

To ride transit to the meeting:

UPDATE: These construction changes are being pushed back one day to Wednesday, August 26, 2026. (Originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, 2026).

Rider Reminder: changes to construction on the Watt/I-80 Transit Center Improvement Project will impact riders.

✅The northbound upper level (east side) bus stop, stairs and elevator will reopen.
❌The southbound upper level (west side) bus stop, stairs and elevator will close.

Southbound bus stop riders should use the temporary bus stop location on Watt Avenue near Longview Drive, in front of the Sacramento Inn & Suites.
