Jeremiah and Maggie are out here doing things well. I’m always grateful to connect with them and even more filled when I get to bring home some tasty goodies from their farm.
With all the ish in the news about nasty food, and imported bullshhhhh y’all already know the answer is “buy from farmers”

Today we are going to learn a lil something about the Crested Coral Root Orchid.
This neat plant requires a connection to live! It doesn’t have any chlorophyll so it relies on a parasitic relationship with soil fungi to be able to even exist.
Its unique flowers are beautiful and this is quite the site to see!

Today I repaired the water diversion on the driveway to move water into the ephemeral pond to the left of the driveway before it enters the main tank.
Even this small step counts! A here a there and you’ve got everywhere!

What a beautiful life
I’m grateful for the years I have been able to spend in this place. To call this forest home and to share the peace with the beings here. Together we find balance.
