Day two in Lisbon was all about walking, exploring, and doing a little damage to the credit card. 😆
Of course, we had to stop and buy a Cristiano Ronaldo Portugal World Cup jersey. When in Portugal, right?
We also visited Livraria Bertrand, the oldest bookstore in the world, and picked up some adorable books for the grandkids to help them learn a little Portuguese. They even stamped the books to show they were purchased at the world's oldest bookstore.
At one point, we stumbled across an Aldi and naturally had to pop in to check out the grocery selection. Tell me you're a traveler without telling me you're a traveler. 😂
Right next door, we found the cutest perfume shop called Next Memory, where I created my own custom solid perfume complete with a monogrammed case and holder. Such a fun souvenir to bring home.
Sardines, anyone? Lisbon has an entire store dedicated to sardines, and it's every bit as colorful and quirky as you'd imagine.
Before calling it a day, we picked up cork postcards to mail home. Portugal is the world's leading producer of cork, so it seemed like the perfect Lisbon souvenir.
Overall, we made some great memories, found a few unique treasures, and somehow turned a day of "just walking around" into a very expensive day. 😅
