Astroworld was a special place for many of us, the one reliable place you can go as a teen and your parents trusted to drop you off. It has been many years since the last ride was moved from 9001 Kirby Dr.; all you see now is an empty field that leaves you pondering, how in the world did it all fit in that one spot. Houston has many wonderful attractions, Reliant Stadium, Toyota Center, to name a
few, but too big of a city not to have a theme park. Now families have to drive over 200 miles to go to Six Flags Over Texas, or Fiesta Texas to enjoy the same atmosphere. On August 4, 2012 let’s show our commemoration to Astroworld by going to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, wearing our Houston t-shirts, or anything that represents the city of Houston. Let’s show we are Houston proud and represent appropriately with our attitudes and behaviors.
