✨ It’s the details that elevate a space. ✨
While installing new wainscoting, chair rail, and baseboards for Nicole, we ran into something that most people would overlook — their return air vent.
Instead of reinstalling the standard builder-grade return air grille — the thin stamped metal kind with basic horizontal slats and visible screw holes on each side, I custom built and trimmed out a return register surround so it sits clean, flush, and intentional within the new paneling.
The old one was functional, yes… but purely utilitarian. No trim detail, no depth, no design element — just a flat, off-the-shelf piece meant to move air and nothing more.
The kind of vent you see in most production homes that does the job, but definitely doesn’t add anything to the room visually.
Now the vent looks like it belongs there… not like an afterthought.
That’s the difference between “installed” and “finished.”
