Once a year I try to make sure people know about the unique Aviation program at Canyon High School. Students that join the program learn about the vast career opportunities in the Aviation industry through guest speakers, field trips, and flight simulators. Students that want to fly can begin flight training at any age and are eligible for a private pilot license by age 17. The industry is begging for more pilots, more maintenance technicians, and more air traffic controllers.
The CHS Showcase is this Wed, 1/28, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A rep for Aviation Explorers and Jr Aviators Flying Club will be there with me to talk and answer questions and the flight simulators will be open for demos. All are welcome to visit.
