It is with great sadness to let everyone know that I just lost my Mom and Dad over the last 2 months. My Mom passed away unexpectedly on February 11 at my home with my Dad and myself by her side. And today March 26th, I lost my Dad at Wi******er Medical in Va from complications from open heart surgery. I was with him when he passed. Everyone who knew them knew how close they were and inseparable for almost 62 years. They were truly blessed to have had the life, family and friends they built together along the way. I truly believe he died of a broken heart.
I am blessed to have had them as my parents. I am so thankful for the past few years I have spent with them. When Mom fell ill, I closed my concrete construction business down for good and spent this time with them checking off some of each of our bucket lists. I think the one I'm most proud of was their Anniversary party in 2022. Thank all of you that came and made it so special for them since they had never had a real wedding in 1962.
To all of their friends in Florida, They both adored you all and had the best 23 years they could have had. You are all special people and meant the world to them. Thank you so much for reaching out and being there for me when I needed it at such a difficult time.
I followed their wishes to the end. Mom was cremated and Dad will follow. His last wish was to have a big (shindig) pizza party at their home that Mom was planning for you all when she passed. I will be in touch with you all when I get myself together and come to Florida to take care of things. Thanks so much for everything and please pray for me as you can imagine how devastating this is.
