⚠ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING RECORDING DEVICES AT GEEK'D CON

After careful consideration and extensive feedback from our celebrity guests, agents, and attendees, Geek'd Con is updating its policies regarding wearable recording technology.

Effective immediately, the wearing or use of all wearable recording devices—including Meta Glasses, Google Glass, and hidden/obscured body-mounted cameras like GoPros—is strictly prohibited at our conventions.

Why This Policy Is Necessary
Protecting Guest Privacy: The vast majority of talent and their representatives have expressed serious concerns that secret recordings violate their privacy and detract from the authentic, personal experience of meeting fans at the tables. Multiple guests have indicated they will no longer participate in in-person events if such recording practices are permitted.

Ensuring Attendee Comfort: We have received similar feedback from our community. Many attendees have shared that they are uncomfortable knowing they might be filmed without their consent while enjoying the convention.

Policy Enforcement
Anyone observed using a prohibited recording device will be asked to leave the convention immediately. Violators will forfeit all admission tickets and any associated add-ons, including unredeemed photo ops and autographs, without refund.

Let’s all work together to keep Geek'd Con a safe, respectful, and immersive space for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

Speaking of the SBC Pepper Fest - the Bossier arts Council has partnered with the inaugural festival! All work submitted for this call will be on display and available for purchase at the event! The BAC will also be onsite providing hands on activities!
The SBC Pepper Fest will be Saturday, August 22nd from 11am - 7pm and tickets are available now!

You can also be your tickets now for ARTini 2026: Whimsical Wonderland at Live Casino & Hotel Louisiana this October! Our annual fundraiser is coming up soon and you won't want to miss the magic! Returning Art Programming includes BAC Brew - Artist Support with Karen La Beau on August 13th from 11:30am - 12:30pm and A-Part Acting Workshop on August 17th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Both of these programs are free to attend!

Looking to develop your child's acting skills further? Register today for our Homeschool Theatre Class - The Not So Mysterious Disappearance of Cinderella! In partnership with Stage to Screen Studio, students will meet every Monday between August 24th and November 16th to develop their talents and bring this absurd comedy to life! - must have flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
