Burning Troll has got to be the most "Madison" event I have attended yet. And I mean that with the highest regards. Where else will I see a fire dancer with the Forward Marching band, dancing cat and bug lanterns, all in front of a band of trolls about to be burned down under the harvest moon? That's Madtown baby.

It's fest-i-FALL season 🍁🍂

Where are you going this weekend? This is usually a big weekend for me with Oktoberfest and Cranfest, but tonight I'm at Burning Troll! Last weekend I was at Cheese Days strolling in the drizzling rain.

A wonderful parade at Green County Cheese Days 🧀

I didn't even have to travel all the way to NYC to see my first massive balloon float.

This was such a wonderful parade! The people in the community really make it magical, even through the rainy weekend.

A couple of memorials I have visited over the years.

I don't remember what happened around me on September 11, 2001. It's odd being around for such a historical event and not remembering the days it happened. But I do see the affects it has had on our nation every day. 🇺🇲
