A loud clap of thunder made me sit straight up from maybe the deepest sleep I’ve had in weeks! ⚡️⛈️
My first thought…”SH*T! We didn’t put the seat cover on!” 🤦🏻‍♀️
By the time we got dressed and made it outside we were already being blasted with some serious Forrest Gump “sideways rain”!! 🌧️
Always something to make the road stories more memorable! 🤣

Jackson’s Mill & Jackson’s Mill Bridge
A little head clearing putt out some country roads to Jackson’s Mill, just a little bit south of Breezewood, PA. Was a beautiful day to get out there.
Jackson’s Mill was established in 1839 by M.J. Jackson along the banks of Brush Creek. It was a multi-purpose mill containing a grist mill and a saw mill.
The mill is privately owned now, but no one seems to mind if you visit. There was a little box to buy fresh cut flowers when we were there.

I know we have been pretty well absent for a little bit, with our last post being about leaving for Oklahoma in a few days.
On Wednesday night, our very close friend was killed in a plane crash in Pa. Pauly was as close as a brother. He leaves behind 4 great young adult kids. We hope to get on the road after his service for some head clearing miles. Where to? Who knows.
Please keep his kids in your thoughts.
