Day 3 - Our day began with a powerful devotion that challenged us to respond to what God is convicting us of and to step forward in obedience. After breakfast, we practiced our skits and packed supplies—praising God that our missing bag finally arrived just in time!
When we reached the school, 208 smiling children were waiting for us. We sang, crafted, shared the creation story through a skit, and told the story of God’s love and how He gives us a new heart. The piñata, as always, was a highlight for everyone!
After Bible Camp, we returned to the office to pick up nine bags of food for widows and seniors. We split into two groups, sharing the gospel and praying as we delivered the food.
One group visited an elderly couple—an 85-year-old woman and her 87-year-old husband who has been blind for 35 years. Despite their challenges, their gratitude was humbling. They shared how they trust that God will continue to provide for them, and we reminded them that one day, he will see again in heaven. Another home belonged to a 75-year-old blind man who once sang in the city to earn money. He was filled with joy and faith, singing for us in thanks as we prayed together. The last visit took us up a steep, muddy mountain to deliver food to another senior who was also visually impaired—grateful and full of peace, thankful to be cared for by the church.
The other team met several widows, each story stirring deep gratitude in our hearts. We were reminded of how blessed we are, how joy can shine even through hardship, and how powerful prayer can be when the Holy Spirit moves in quiet homes filled with faith. Some moments were tender reminders of how seen and loved we are by God, and how deeply He values every person we encounter.
The day stretched us in all the best ways—challenging our comfort zones, strengthening our faith, and filling us with awe. We were reminded that we do this not by our own strength, but because Jesus equips and provides for us. From ministering to children full of wonder to hiking steep trails in the rain to reach those in need, each moment was a chance to see God’s love in action.
We ended the day tired, a bit dirty, and soaked from the rain—but completely filled. It’s in these moments of letting go and stepping out in faith that we see God move most clearly. We are thankful for health, strength, and the opportunity to go wherever He calls.
