I chose the Conrad Washington, DC for a weekend in the city with my daughter to see Olivia Rodrigo. This is our second family stay here, and I love the modern design, spacious rooms, lots of natural light and great Hilton for Luxury perks.

This time, location was a big part of the decision. Capital One Arena is only a few blocks away, so we could easily walk to and from the concert. The hotel is also part of CityCenterDC, with luxury shopping, restaurants and cute squares with art installations and outdoor seating right outside the door. It’s such a great home base for a DC weekend whether you’re sightseeing or attending an event at Capital One!

Just booked Evermore Orlando for a family heading to Florida this fall! Evermore opened in 2024, so it’s still a relatively new option in Orlando and fills a nice place in the market for families who want more space than traditional hotel rooms, but like the service and amenities of a full resort.

The resort sits on 1,100 acres and has everything from 2-bedroom villas to 4-bedroom flats and private homes with up to 11 bedrooms that sleep 32! It works well for families and groups who want to stay together in one larger accommodation or have the flexibility of different accommodation types and price points within the same resort.

Evermore has a huge beach and lagoon, plus pools, water activities, restaurants, golf, pickleball and more. Plus, if you’d like to pair a stay at Evermore with Disney, the resort is adjacent to WDW with Disney Springs about 10 minutes away and the parks generally 10–20 minutes by car.

This family is headed to England + Wales to celebrate their son’s 16th birthday over spring break!

They’re starting with a few days in London, where they’ll see a Liverpool v. Fulham Premier League match, before heading north by train to Liverpool for an Anfield stadium tour, football + Beatles sightseeing, and day trips into the Lake District and North Wales.

They’re making the most of the week off school with fun tours and activities that hit everyone’s interests. I love helping families turn a list of “things we enjoy” into an actual trip!
