Be grateful for every resource God provides you. Know that whatever He means for you to have you will have it. Your success is not contingent on the number of people who do or do not support you or even particular people you think you need. It is about the people He chooses to place in your path for a certain point in time. When one door closes another door does open--at the time He deems necessary and when you are prepared. Focus on your purpose and motive. And finally...remember that just as others may not be your cup of tea to support, not everyone will be serving you up in their own tea cups. ~ Char

For some years, I used to just envision working from home full time, whether for myself or someone else. I never imagined I would get a taste of it working for myself from home the past 3 years and get to continue that experience if I ever returned to the world of 9 to 5. But here I am, in the comfort of home among a peaceful wall color I love. Glad I changed it from that loud pink years ago! I serve the all-knowing, merciful, "ordering your steps" God.

God made me first and foremost a spiritual being so I aim to use that to my benefit...to not be so anchored to things and people around me that I become bound to not freely do what He gives me liberty to do. I have found that He provides like-minded people and resources for wherever He guides my feet. I am never alone and neither are you. My only challenge now is to consistently apply His ways to every course of my life. By His grace I am getting there. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

This is a to one of the excursions I took during my 2013 Smooth Jazz Cruise. We had to wear these red headsets to muffle the sounds of the extremely loud motor. It makes me think of how even amid the loud motor, there was a serene, and calming feeling along the path. Life can seem like it is closing in on you from both sides but in the spiritual, if we keep our eyes on the opening ahead, we can find rest in the middle of what would make other people feel uneasy. During such times we may also find ourselves amid extreme noise—the noise of opinions, the noise of self-doubt, the noise of regret…even the noise of questioning our faith. It is during these times that we must force ourselves to be so heavenly-minded that we ourselves embrace for our own benefit that we are no earthly good. Launch into the deep without fear of the “noise.”  ~Char
