Join us March 14–15, 2026 at the historic General Daniel Bissell House for a FREE two-day event exploring the fascinating stories of the War of 1812 on the western frontier.

If you have problems with a troublesome Canada Goose on your property, there is an organization in our area called Geese Peace St Louis. They are a non-profit group who can work with you to remove and relocate geese who take over people’s yards and create problems with kids and pets. Nesting Time is particularly an issue. These folks are humane volunteers.
Neither Old Jamestown Association nor I personally have any affiliation with them, but I am aware of a person asking us for info.

Old Jamestown Association has been contacted by this organization to involve our area in their work. I am assuming this has a lot to do with bike trails. They are interested in tabling at events in Old Jamestown and educating the public on what a Greenway is and the potential of a Greenway coming to the area. I will post more information depending on an initial meeting OJA is attending by Zoom. I hope to mention Pelican Island to them. Would anyone here like to attend the Zoom meeting? There's one on Tuesday, March 5, at 1 pm.
