This is a story about a little girl who loved Dandelion bouquets and how she lost a piece of her heart. Many years ago, I was frequently seen with handfuls of dandelions. So much so that I began to be called Dandelion Rose (Rose is my middle name). Over time this endearment was shortened to Dandee. As I grew older, of course, this name was not what I wanted to be called, as most preteens, I wanted
to feel grown up. The name was forgotten by tongues, but always in memory. Eventually, I married and started a family, first a daughter, four years later a son. Life was complete! As our family began planning a special trip to Disney World (Daughter 5, Son 16 mo) I realized I so badly wanted my children to coordinate. Since I had always wanted to learn to sew, but had not, I got to work planning outfits, incorporating hand-sewn pieces for my children, made with LOVE! Only a week after our 10 days of bliss, a truck ran a red light and tboned our car. My husband and I barely made it. Our 5 yr old daughter was traumatized. Our precious Levi did not survive. It has been 8 years (Oct 2015) and our family still suffers the heartbreak of loosing him. We know God has a plan for our family, though, and our faith is strong. As a stress reliever, 6 mo after our accident I bought a sewing machine and began teaching myself to use it. Soon I started selling, bringing the memory of my younger years with me and using the nickname I had been given. I am still learning, but doing something I love!! When I find time anyway! I am now Mommy to 2 more boys and homeschool! Life is crazy around here...https://www.etsy.com/shop/DandeeRose/about
