Everyone loves seeing a truck make money. Very few see what it takes to keep it on the road.

Roughly $1,000 in parts, all new brake assemblies and bearings, and a full day turning wrenches in a Pilot parking lot under the summer heat.

Preventative maintenance isn’t cheap, but neither is sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.

This is what keeping the wheels turning really looks like. 🚛💪

Officially own the box truck. A lot of miles, a lot of work, and a lot of faith got me here. Appreciate anyone who’s supported me along the way. On to the next.

The shipper welded a hydraulic power pump to the top of a trash compactor before loading it on my trailer. During transit, the welds failed and the pump came off under braking.

The shipper says I should’ve strapped the pump separately. I say the failure was the welds they installed, not my securement. This is an issue with craftsmanship.

Who’s responsible in your opinion?
