The Tangled bathrooms are OPEN.

And I cried.

Not a sweet little Disney tear.

A full-on, Rapunzel-has-finally-seen-the-floating-lanterns emotional situation.

Because THIS is what happens when Disney Imagineers decide a bathroom deserves just as much storytelling as everything else.

Lanterns.

Artwork.

Hidden Tangled details.

Themed restroom signs.

Shelves with little treasures.

Even the Cast Members Only sign got invited to the party.

And yes, there’s a companion restroom too.

For some families, bathrooms are just bathrooms.

For others, bathrooms matter.

And this one feels like Disney understood that.

The Great Disney Bathroom Challenge has officially returned to the Kingdom of Corona.

Five resorts.
24 bathrooms.
Five champions.
ONE WINNER

I visited, inspected, judged, overthought and ranked them all.

There were cowboys.
Sparkles.
Questionable design choices.
Amazing soap.

But only one bathroom could be crowned the
BEST bathroom at the Magic Kingdom resorts.

And the winner is...

I almost didn’t go to Fort Wilderness.

Because taking a BOAT to look at two bathrooms felt like a lot of commitment.

I had already decided they were probably terrible.

Bless my judgmental little heart.

Because I was WRONG.

One Fort Wilderness bathroom nearly achieved **bathroom perfection**.

Cold air.
Cowboys.
Cute signs.
Actual theming.
A companion restroom.

The other?

Not quite perfection, but still a very respectable little pioneer bathroom with ducks, flowers and some unexplained butterflies.

I ranked both bathrooms for the **Great Disney Bathroom Challenge**.

And for once, getting on a boat solely in pursuit of toilets turned out to be an excellent life decision.

Fort Wilderness, I owe you an apology.

Wilderness Lodge has six public bathrooms.

Five of them are lovely.

One of them owes me an apology.

I ranked every bathroom from best to worst, discovered an unexpected obsession with decorative borders, fell in love with fancy hand soap, and handed out my very first **F-** in the Great Disney Bathroom Challenge.

Yes... it was deserved.

Have you ever had a Disney bathroom you still talk about years later? Apparently my family has.

The Contemporary has five public bathrooms.

I ranked every single one... and let's just say it wasn't the resort's finest hour.

Three of them felt like they belonged in a dying mall (my youngest's words, not mine), one smelled so amazing I'd buy it as a candle, and the hidden conference center bathroom completely surprised me.

If you're staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort or just passing through on your way to Magic Kingdom, this guide might save your bladder... and your expectations.

There are seven public bathrooms at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

Naturally...I had to rank every single one.

Along the way I discovered hidden bathrooms, beautiful wallpaper, penguins, sparkling floors, one restroom that felt like a sauna, and a surprise champion that won because it had something the others didn't...

Personality.

Who knew a bathroom challenge could be this dramatic?

I visited all four public bathrooms...

Studied every sign.

Admired every tile.

Judged every air conditioner.

I ranked them from worst to best.

The Great Disney Bathroom Quest is heading to the Magic Kingdom resorts!

I'm changing things up for this series.

Instead of reviewing one bathroom at a time, each resort gets its own blog.

I'll visit every public bathroom, rank them from best to worst, crown a **Resort Champion**, and, of course, hand out a few "Well... bless your heart" awards.

When the series is over, all of the Resort Champions will compete for the title of **Best Magic Kingdom Resort Bathroom**.

Yes, this is a completely ridiculous project.

Yes, I'm taking it very seriously.

And I can't wait to share what I found.

Bathroom #53

I walked all the way across the Transportation and Ticket Center convinced the East bathroom would redeem the West one.

It didn't.

It's clean. It's functional. It even has more accessible stalls.

But it completely forgets one thing that Disney usually does so well... storytelling.

When your first Disney bathroom feels more like a highway rest stop than the Most Magical Place on Earth, something has gone very wrong.
