👻 Moving out of the graveyard so my real community can see me again ♥️
Here’s what happened:
* I didn’t use Instagram for business until late 2019. I had only 400 or so followers!
* In early 2020, Covid hit and a giant wave of new soap/candle makers followed me.
* A random viral reel brought in 20K+ followers outside my niche
* By 2023, thousands of covid era businesses abandoned their accounts.
* The viral‑video followers never engaged.
* Fast forward to this year- My account looked healthy at 64k followers… but my engagement continues to tank.
* The algorithm sees “low engagement = no one likes this”, so it stopped showing my posts, even to real followers.
Removing the graveyard will even out my engagement percentage and hopefully correct this mess.
