Rain, rain… go away! 😭☔️

Unfortunately, the weather has other plans for Trailside Trolley this weekend and we will not be operating during the rain. While we LOVE seeing Travelers Rest busy and full of life, these rainy weekends make it tough on our little open-air trolley crew.

BUT — one of the best parts about TR is that there’s always somewhere cozy to duck into while the storms roll through so we’ve made a list of ideas for you. With these amazing businesses in town the rain won’t put a damper on your weekend. 🥳

-Cozy up at .tr or inside at 😊
-Take a trip back in time or (make sure you ask someone about the history of either of these buildings—there’s a story to tell) 👏🏼
-start happy hour early 🍾
-grab a gift for someone (or yourself) .102, or 🛍️
-take the party to the house with a trip to .e.willis or Hot Shotz Liquors 🍻

DRIVER SPOTLIGHT 🚎

If there were gold stars for trolley driving… Beverly would have a whole sheet. ⭐️

She’s officially clocked the most hours and most shifts this season—and somehow still shows up with the same energy, kindness, and genuine love for what she’s doing every single time. 👏🏼

What’s even more impressive? Beverly isn’t originally from Travelers Rest… but you’d never know it. She has truly made it her mission to learn the history, the hidden gems, the stories, and the people that make TR so special. And she doesn’t just drive the route—she connects with every single rider who hops on. 🤍

Our drivers aren’t here because they have to be… they’re here because they want to be. And Beverly is the perfect example of that heart behind the wheel. One of the kindest, most thoughtful, most helpful humans we’ve had the joy of knowing. 💙

Kicking off the weekend with a true Travelers Rest gem—Rebecca Cooper 💛

A proud TR native, Rebecca has spent years pouring into this community in ways that truly matter. She served 4 terms on Travelers Rest City Council (1999–2016) and now continues her impact as the Chair of the TR Planning Commission—so yes, she knows this town inside and out 😉

These days, she’s enjoying a well-earned retirement from healthcare, spending part-time at our local flower shop, JoMars, and soaking up weekends with her husband, Coop, aboard their sailboat “Amnesia” at Keowee Sailing Club ⛵️

Whether she’s sharing local history, giving insider tips, or just bringing her calm, welcoming energy to every ride—Rebecca is exactly who you want driving your trolley. ✨
