Happy spring everyone! Us commissioners for the AFL have had a few meetings so far and wanted to just give an update on a few things for this coming season! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿช“

1. Keep an eye for for flyers and posting about registration dates. I will be giving them to LPQ beginning of May for June registration.
2. I will be in need of a new co-commissioner after this season, anyone interested please let me know!
3. Tackle playersโ€ฆ.Helmets will now be owned by the AFL and be part of โ€œrental equipmentโ€ which means handing them in with shoulder pads/gear at the closing game. This is due to increased helmet regulations and need for more frequent inspections/reconditioning needed on them to make sure they are safe for players.
If you already have a helmet you may choose to keep it or return it for a discount on registration fee but you will need a new one either way.
4. Coaches will be needed for flag teams and one more for tackle B. If interested let me know!

Thank you! Looking forward to the 2026 season ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿช“๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿช“๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿช“ Go Jacks!
- Maegan Kavanagh, commissioner.
