Asking you to endure two more Biltmore Garden photos. We went back today and took Miss Ruby. I won’t show you ALL THE FLOWER pictures but I really loved this one with the bee 🐝 and the peach dahlia. We also made it to Cedric’s Tavern and waited out a thunderstorm with an Oh George 🥃 and roasted tomato 🍅 and red pepper soup.

We’ve been spending sometime camping in City of Asheville North Carolina. We figured up that we’ve been coming back to Campfire Lodgings campground for 17 years. Our visits always include good food, hikes, Hot Springs Resort and Spa, and of course, visiting The Biltmore estate. Yesterday was the first time in all those years that we visited Biltmore during the summer. I was so excited to see the gardens full of flowers and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Our dinner at The Bistro on property (truly my favorite place to eat) was as usual, AMAZING! Halibut with crab and lobster ravioli and a petite filet raised on the estate. Then we enjoyed the Luminere show after dark. That will have to be its own post. After a morning hike around Lake Louise and lunch Twisted Laurel Weaverville - this was truly a perfect day. Thank you Lord for your blessings🙌🏻 Enjoy all the flowers!

Ironically my devotion today was titled WHAT TRAVEL TEACHES giving the perfect opportunity to share these thoughts. It is so true that travel changes more than your location—it changes your perspective. ❤️✈️

One of the greatest gifts travel gives us is the reminder that God’s world is so much bigger than our own little corner of it. Every destination has a story. Every culture has something to teach us. Every person we meet is created in His image.

When we step outside our comfort zone, we often discover that kindness is spoken in every language, strangers become friends, and our hearts grow a little bigger with every journey.

As Job 31:32 reminds us:
“No stranger had to spend the night in the street, for my door was always open to the traveler.”

Travel has a beautiful way of turning strangers into neighbors and reminding us that we’re all part of God’s incredible story.
