Lockhart Aero Modelers is a fellowship of aviation modelers and their families organized to promote the on going development, construction, demonstration, and flying of model aircraft. The club is non-profit and shall remain non-profit for as long as it is an organization. The club will be known as Lockhart Aero Modelers Club of Lockhart, Texas. It is our mission, as club members, to promote safet

y first in the hobby of flying remote controlled aircraft. As a family oriented club we encourage the entire family to participate with the club from the youngest to the oldest, we feel it is never to early or to late to participate, age is a state of mind. It is also our mission to have as much fun as possible on any given flying day. We try to incorporate our community into our club in any manner that we can so that our club can continue to grow and the hobby will remain around for years to come. And remember a safe landing is nothing more than a controlled crash.

As it would turn out mother nature is not going to be friendly this weekend. So we will have to postponed the BBQ for this weekend. However no worries we will be rescheduling soon.

If you are interested in this Hobby. Be sure to come on out and meet the Guys and Gals March 16, 2014 On March 16 we all will be sharing BBQ and having fun out at the field. The BBQ will be free to those who attend and we will have trainer aircraft onsite for those interested.

For those of you who plan on attending the meeting this month we will meet on Wed. Feb, 6th. There will not be any changes to the time or the place just one day early. The room we meet in will be tied up on the normal night we meet so we needed to move the date to Wed. thanks for your understanding.

I am sure, as airplane enthusiasts, you have heard of the Tuskegee Airman from WWII, On the way back from dads, we spontaneously took short detour to stop by the airfield where the Tuskegee airman trained to get their wings. The visitors center was closed that day sowe didnt get to take a tour or anything, but I can tell you, when I got the the edge of the viewing area, I could almost hear the roar of the engines as I gazed over the field.
