Spotted in the wild… 🌴⚓

S/V LaTortuga soaking up the sun in the Exumas, still looking sharp in her custom setup.

This project features a new frames and canvas for a bimini & dodger with full enclosure plus an additional shade enclosure panels for flexibility and ventilation. Creating a comfortable, protected space no matter where the day leads… from dockside evenings to island hopping, she’s ready for it all.

We love seeing our work out where it belongs… on the water. 🌊

Some projects stand out the moment you finish them. And sometimes, your peers agree. Our work aboard S/V Weatherly, an Oyster 655, earned incredible recognition this year at both the national and local levels.

At the Marine Fabricators Association Conference, this project received Outstanding Achievement in the Sailboat Dodger & Bimini category.

At the Chesapeake Marine Canvas Fabricators Association Conference, it was awarded:
🏆 1st Place in Sailboat Exterior Canvas
🏆 Fabricator Favorite

It is one thing to believe a project shines. It is another to have that confirmed by fellow fabricators whose craftsmanship we deeply respect. This Oyster 655 pushed us creatively and technically, and we are so proud of the finished result. We are even more honored by the recognition from our industry peers. We cannot wait to see what this next year brings!

Listen up friends… if this system hits our area, it’s expected to bring wet, heavy snow mixed with ice ❄️⚠️

Canvas and frames are not designed to support that kind of weight and can end up sagging, tearing, or even collapsing. Taking the time now to remove your canvas can help prevent costly repairs later.

With a background in fashion design, Ashley wanted to bring her creative eye and attention to detail into a new industry — and she’s been an incredible addition to our crew. Through our apprentice program, she’s been learning everything from templating to installation and design, bringing creativity and precision to every project.

From vision to voyage — that’s what we’re all about at Yacht Canvas!

We recently had the pleasure of creating this complete enclosure for S/V Tortuga, a stunning Formosa 47. The project included a new dodger and bimini, built from frame to canvas, along with a full enclosure featuring both clear vinyl and screen panels. And solar to boot!

The result? A versatile, comfortable space perfect for cruising in every season — even adding an extra “room” on deck during cooler months. Every seam, panel, and design choice was made with their boat and lifestyle in mind.

We love helping our customers turn ideas into reality!
