Safety Reminder from Cisco’s Moving Services

To our fellow truck drivers, industry partners, friends, and family —

This is a friendly but important reminder: DOT regulations require all snow and ice to be fully removed from the tops of straight trucks, box trucks, and trailers before operating on the road.

Driving with snow or ice on a truck roof isn’t just a fine waiting to happen — it’s a serious safety hazard. Falling snow and ice can endanger other drivers, cause accidents, and put lives at risk.

Last night, our team took the extra time to properly clear every truck roof, even in tough winter conditions. It wasn’t quick, and it wasn’t easy — but it was necessary. We do this to:
• Protect our drivers and staff
• Keep the public safe
• Stay fully DOT-compliant
• Operate with professionalism and responsibility

At Cisco’s Moving Services, safety always comes first — before schedules, before convenience, before everything else.

Please take the extra time, use proper equipment, and look out for one another this winter.

There’s something I’ve always believed…
The older generation was the most popular generation the ones who lit up the world with real conversations, real strength, real love.
But somewhere along the way…
they became the most forgotten.

And that breaks my heart every time.

These are the people who survived storms we never knew existed…
who raised families with nothing but faith and hard work…
who held entire households together with the kind of strength you can’t teach the kind you’re born with.

When you sit with them, you’re sitting with history.
When you listen to them, you’re listening to wisdom you can’t buy and you’ll never hear again.
When you hold their hand, you’re touching decades of stories victories, losses, laughter, pain, joy… all wrapped up in one fragile but powerful human being.

And when life brings them to their final chapter…
it’s not just a goodbye.
It’s a whole world being gently carried into the hands of angels.

That’s why this package exists.

Because when a loved one passes away whether they were living at home, in a retirement community, or in assisted living the weight on your shoulders becomes too heavy.
You’re grieving…

This morning, before the sun even warmed the streets of Bristol, RI, everything I needed for a 7,000-pound delivery was already in place. The truck was spotless. Every pad was folded. Every strap, dolly, runner, and material was ready to go.

And you know why?

We had the privilege of working in a home that contains the Historic Gaspee Room, a room taken from the original Gaspee House on South Main Street in 1891 and relocated to this residence.
