Floods swept away cars and cut power to thousands after 10 inches of rain over 24 hours fell in some parts of the state.

These images are just a fraction of the damage caused by flooding across West Virginia. They afford only a glimpse into the sort of damage the region has seen. Still even though I've seen the damage, it just doesn't seem real. During the past few days I've driven hundreds of miles and seen so many communities devastated by flooding, many full of people who have lost everything. All of their possessions gone and their homes destroyed. Please share these photos with anyone you can to spread the word on what has happened to my home of West Virginia. Many people need help in the form of donations or physical labor to help clean up the mess left by one of the worst floods in West Virginia history.
