-Some Trucking Facts
Did you know...?

-Ninety percent of the trucking industry is made up of small business trucking companies with ten or less trucks.
-There are approximately 350,000 owner-operators in the United States.
-Even though they make up only 7 percent of highway traffic, truckers collectively pay about 36 percent of the taxes and fees that go into the Highway Trust Fund.
-On average, small business truckers drive more than 115,000 miles per year (more than 3 million miles in their lifetime) and spend more than 240 nights per year away from home.
-Owner-operators are involved in fewer and less severe accidents than any other segment of the truck driving population
-Truckers typically pay in excess of $10,000 in federal taxes and additional state taxes of more than $6,000 per truck each year.

FAQ- Why do you charge a deposit and some other companies do not?
-----------------------------------

We require a deposit at time of booking for a few different reasons...

1) It ensures to you, our customer, that we are actively working on your order and will be assigning a driver for your trip.
2) A deposit secures that your order is confirmed. Professional drivers value their time/ fuel and prefer confirmed orders because they know that vehicle will be there when they show up at your location for pick up.

Some companies use "no deposit" tactics as a selling point but actually works against the customer. Many companies throw your order up on a load board and just wait for a driver to see it and call them. They don't actively contact their affiliated drivers to assign them. Also no deposit some times leads customers to give their order info to several companies at once. Most drivers are affiliated with many companies. When they see the same vehicle listing over and over they know it's not a confirmed order and will not accept its assignment. This prolongs the customers wait time, adds to frustration and possibly price since then companies will up the price to the drivers to compete against each other.
**Our deposit is completely refundable if you choose to cancel your transport before the vehicle is scheduled to be picked up.

Customer question-
Should I go with the lowest quote for my vehicle transport?
------------------------------------
Looking for the cheapest price to have your vehicle shipped may not be the best idea. Why?

Transporting a vehicle on a car hauler carries many overhead costs for the company including fuel, taxes, insurance, tolls and truck maintenance.

A driver who accepts low pricing for their service is most likely cutting costs somewhere. Is their cargo policy the industry standard coverage or are they at the minimum to be legal? Is the driver a seasoned transporter or a rookie just getting into the business? Is their truck and trailer in poor condition?

All of these points can have an impact on the customers timeline and safety of the vehicle.

As a business comprised of carriers and shipping agents, we quote the right price to ship with qualified, licensed and insured drivers.
