as the official hometown of Santa Claus, this place normally gets packed in winter, but I was obsessed with their autumn 🍂 Northern Lights from bed, training the sled dogs on the trails and foraging for lingonberries 🫐
the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is a must ⛰️ ride through the crisp mountain air to get a front row seat to the changing colors
this is one of the most popular hikes on the Appalachian Trail in Virginia and its best enjoyed at sunrise 🙌 literally has been one of my favorite photos for years
I think I’ve been to Douro Valley in every season at this point, but fall is especially fun because you can get out into the vineyards to harvest grapes, then get barefoot and help make the wine before enjoying it 😂 🍇
big bear’s a huuuge destination for people from LA looking for a relaxing escape 🐻 if you visit during fall, it’s super cozy with tons of fun events going on and great hiking before the crowds really come in for winter skiing ⛷️
New Hampshire had some of the most insanely beautiful fall foliage I’ve ever seen 🍁 you can take a fall foliage trip on the Conway Scenic Railroad to really soak it all in
