🤯 I can’t believe it’s already Class THREE?! My final lesson in Sewing 101

💙 I was able to finish sewing my very own pair of shorts and cannot wait to take them with me on my next trip ✈️

🙏🏽 I left this 3-week bootcamp with not only a new apron & pair of shorts, but the basics in learning to sew

📍 EZ Raider

⏰ 60-90 minute tours- you choose the destinations

🎟️ Starts at $75/pp

🤯 This is one of only TWO EZ Raiders in the entire United States

🤓 Bonus points if you can guess where the second one is

🛵 EZ Raiders are kind of a cross between an ATV and Scooter, where you can sit or stand while cruising through the streets

🏝️ We enjoyed a relaxing ride along the river walk and then got to testing the speeds on some back roads 🤪

🧚‍♂️ Kids under 7 ride free + drivers must be at least 16 years old

your sign to try something new this month ✂️

📍South Florida Sewing Studio - Sewing 101 (Three, 3-hour long classes)

🪡 During our second class, I completed my apron from the last class and then got started on the next project

🤭 Instead of making pants or a skirt, I did a lil plot twist and ended up starting on a pair of shorts 🩳

🧵 Throughout the class, we were guided one-on-one and step-by-step on our individual projects and really started to get in the flow

🙏🏽 I’m hoping Class 3 will leave me with a finished pair of shorts to bring with on my next trip ✈️

need a new lunch spot in coral gables? 🍕

🫡 Mister O1 got its name from the O1 visa that Chef Renato Viola was granted for his extraordinary pizza making skills (literally he was on Italy’s acrobatic pizza team)

⭐️ The Order:

🍕 Pizza: Star Luca, Claudio + Coffee Paulo
🥗 Salad: Laura
🍫 Dessert: Mini Nutella Pizza

☕️ Apparently the chef literally had a DREAM about coffee pizza & after playing around with some ingredients, made it a reality with Coffee Paulo

🙏🏽 My favorite was the Claudio (soooo crispy) and João’s was Star Luca (their most famous star-shaped za)

🥗 Also ngl…the salad was fire and I will be back for more of that…although prepare yourself because it is HUGE

📍 House Of Horror at Tropical Park

🫣 There are 4 NEW themed haunted houses this year, with my fav being Isla de las Muñecas

🎢 There is also a haunted roller coaster, Howie’s Blind Terror, which is the only one of its kind in the U.S.

🍁 The little ones can enjoy the fun this year, too, with the House of Little Horrors (less scary zone for families)

📍 South Florida Sewing Studio

🧵 Even if you’ve NEVER tried sewing in your life, you can get the basics down in their beginner classes. I’d go with either:

1️⃣ Sewing Bootcamp (learn to sew in one day)

You’ll spend 6 hours learning the basics and go home with a new apron and tote bag.

2️⃣ Sewing 101 (3 classes - 3 hours each)

What I chose! 🤍 You’ll go home with either an apron or tote bag and then can choose to make either pants or a skirt throughout the last two classes.

🫶 The studio’s owned by James & Arc who both have over a decade of experience sewing and have been the best teachers

🧑‍🏫 James has a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons and has showcased his work at New York Fashion Week, sold his designs to major retailers and helped launch over 200 fashion brands through his business Designable Fashion Inc.

👨‍🏫 Arc graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and specializes in technical design, garment construction & product development. He’s helped develop & launch thousands of apparel products + patented designs.

👩‍🍳 I’m sooo excited to almost have my first piece completed (although I may need to embark on cooking classes next to put this apron to use)

forget dinner reservations, this is how you do a date night in Miami 🧺

📍 Sunset Picnics by Rosi Luxury Beach Picnics Miami (a mother-daughter team 🤍)

📲 On the day of our experience, we were texted a location & a time and were blown away when we arrived 🤯

🧺 We had the most beautiful picnic awaiting us, complete with a charcuterie board & bubbly

🥂 We sipped as the sun went down, listening to relaxing music & playing tic-tac-toe 🤭

🫶 Truly could not have planned a better picnic ourselves & highly recommend this team for any special events or just because date nights you have coming up
