African American Heritage Trail Martha's Vineyard The African American Heritage Trail of Martha's Vineyard has 41
sites all over the Island.

The African American Heritage Trail has 33 sites and is dedicated to telling the previously unknown stories of people of color on Martha's Vineyard. The organization founded by Elaine Cawley Weintraub and Carrie Camillo Tankard raises the funds necessary to build the Trail by providing tours and the sale of our book Lighting the Trail available from Island book stores, from Cronigs Market, the Trail organization and amazon.com

MV Charter School did a great job today restoring our sculpture of Rebecca the Woman from Africa at the Native Earth Teaching Farm. They polished her till she gleamed in the sun and decorated her in all her finery. Thank you to the students!
