Well we got our clothes dryer installed today. It is electric, it runs off of our solar system. It’s been a long 2.5 years hang drying our clothes inside. Being off grid sounds like good time, but it is expensive and very limiting.

Facebook has threatened to unpublish our page if we don't post something. So, here is the post. I've been stupid busy building a pig barn for the sows to farrow in. I guess I need to spend more time on facecrook so we can keep the page we've put together.

We got 4x 195w panels installed yesterday. These are oriented to the south east to catch the morning sun in the fall/winter much earlier than our west and south west facing panels get.
ML Solar has a deal on these used Sanyo panels (made in Japan) for $40/ea. You have to buy a pallet of 20 panels for the deal, it cost us $380 to ship to the freight terminal in Co Springs. That's barely over $.30/watt. We never buy new panels, we have panels built in 1994 that still put out more than rated capacity.

We planted half of the hoophouse in late April with red, yellow and white onion sets. We pulled those up today to make room for carrots and then a multiplier type of shallot/onion for the over winter crop.
