I’m going to do something radical and try to run a small business without social media. It’s a time suck, an attention drain, i love the connection to you, but hate the connection to my phone. We are fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and I want to see it all. My kids are watching me watch my phone, all too often. I want to read long and nuanced books and articles by people who have expertise and qualifications, i want to learn and grow and be present in my community. I want to laugh with friends and bask in the sun.

Running a business the dopamine hit when I get an enquiry, or a message from a new store or customer is literally addictive. But it doesn’t move the needle in the business,it just doesn’t. This is Kit, he’s nearly 4. We’re introducing our kids to camping and the outdoors now they can both sleep through the night. It’s a new chapter for us! Having children 0-4 is world changing and i’ll take the memories, but soooo happy to be able to travel more again. It feels like the start of another big adventure as we explore the world together.

Tom took a little pack on this trip including solid dish soap, a bamboo scrubber, a charcoal konjac sponge and a bar of pine tar soap.
