Let’s talk about the beach at the brand new Moon Palace The Grand – Punta Cana!

I get asked about sargassum all the time, and trust me—seaweed happens almost everywhere in the tropics, depending on the season and weather. Here is how the beach looked during my visit in September!

Some quick info about the beach at this resort:
🚶‍♂️ The Walk: It’s a short, easy walk from the main resort area to the shoreline (about 7 minutes or so).
🏖️ The Beach: It is huge! They are still putting the finishing touches on the beach area, but I have no doubt it’s going to be absolutely stunning once everything is 100% complete.
🌊 The Water: As you can see, there was just a tiny bit of seaweed—not bad at all—and the water was still gorgeous and clear!

I have to admit… I am NOT the most adventurous eater. 😂

So when I saw we had dinner reservations at Agra, the Indian restaurant at Grand Moon Palace Punta Cana, I was a little nervous. I had never had Indian food before and honestly, I wouldn’t have even known what to order!

Luckily, they served our group family style, so we were able to try a little bit of everything. And let me tell you… the food did NOT disappoint!

Some of the dishes were a little spicier than my taste buds prefer, but everything was delicious and I’m so glad I got to step outside my usual food comfort zone.

And that’s another benefit of staying at an all-inclusive—you can order multiple things, try something new, and if you don’t like it, no big deal! Try something else… or head to another restaurant. It truly is ALL included!

Spotlight: My Absolute Favorite Meal at Moon Palace The Grand – Punta Cana

If there is one restaurant you cannot miss when you visit the new Grand Moon Palace, it’s Nikos.

Thoughtfully crafted by award-winning Greek Chef Athinagoras Kostakos, this spot was pure perfection from start to finish. Every single dish our table ordered was top-tier, but two things stole the show for me:
🍸 The Itaca Cocktail: Hands down my favorite drink of the entire trip! Perfectly balanced and so refreshing.
🧄 The Tzatziki: I am not exaggerating when I say I could have eaten this every single day of our vacation.

My only regret? Not having enough days on our trip to eat dinner here a second time!

🍹 You can tell A LOT about a resort by its lobby bar.

Maybe that’s just me, but I’m a firm believer that the lobby bar can make or break the vibe of a resort. It’s where everyone ends up at some point — before dinner, after dinner, waiting for friends, meeting up for nighttime entertainment…or just because it’s 5:00 somewhere.

The lobby bar at Grand Moon Palace Punta Cana definitely gets my vote.

It’s located right off the gorgeous main lobby and is a large, open space with plenty of seating. You’ve got seats at the bar, more private seating areas around the bar, and enough room that it doesn’t feel like everyone is fighting for a spot.

They also have live music that changes nightly, which adds a really fun atmosphere without making the space feel too much.

One of the things I love about a great lobby bar is that it becomes the unofficial meeting place of the resort. Grab a quick drink, meet up with your people, listen to some music and decide where the night is taking you.

And honestly…if the lobby bar is this good, it’s usually a pretty good sign for the rest of the resort. 🍹🌴
