Stop for the Red Lights. Protect Our Students.

When a school bus has its flashing red lights activated, all drivers must stop — even if the stop arm is not fully extended yet.

In Minnesota:
✅ Stop at least 20 feet away from the school bus
✅ Remain stopped until the red lights are off and the bus begins moving again
✅ Failing to stop can result in a minimum $500 fine and is classified as a misdemeanor

Those few seconds could make the difference between a child getting home safely or a preventable tragedy.

Help us keep Minnesota students safe — slow down, pay attention, and stop for the bus.
