Okay, so John Muir never actually wrote those exact words, but we feel fairly confident he would have if he had ever visited the Virgin Islands 😎🌴

Virgin Islands National Park is renowned throughout the world for its breathtaking beauty. It covers approximately 3/5 of St. John, and nearly all of Hassel Island in the Charlotte Amalie harbor on St. Thomas.

Within its borders lie protected bays of crystal blue-green waters teeming with coral reef life, white sandy beaches shaded by seagrape trees, coconut palms, and tropical forests providing habitat for over 800 species of plants.

If you are visiting the park by boat, please familiarize yourself with the policies and regulations about these resources. The park has an interactive map to help.

Welcome to America’s Paradise. While you are here please do your part to preserve paradise and leave paradise in its place. Keep in mind theses park rules while visiting Virgin Islands National Park.
Take photographs but do not remove any sand, shells, dead corals or artifacts from the park.
Dogs are allowed on the trails if they are on a leash but dogs including emotional support dogs are not permitted on park beaches.
Enjoy your picnic but do not bring glass bottles to the beach.
Respect others privacy, drones are not permitted in the park.
Enjoy viewing the wildlife but do not feed the wildlife and do not harass them . Touching an endangered species like a sea turtle is not allowed.
Motorized crafts and crafts with a sail are not permitted in swim areas. There is a 5 mile per hour speed limit in the mooring field and Jet Skis are not permitted in the park.
If we all do our part the park’s resources will be here for future visitors. If you are reading this please share it with other pages that visitors frequent.

Our beautiful beaches are busy! Please stop to read the new park signs for your enjoyment and everyone elses!

The Cliffs Notes version:

Don’t stand on coral or sea grass!
Don’t touch or remove coral or shells!
Don’t touch turtles!
Use reef safe sunscreen or wear a rash guard for sun protection!
No glass on the beach!
Pack trash in, pack trash out!

Enjoy our park! Have fun and leave no trace!🌴😊💙🐢
