We reached our temporary spot in East Texas. This campsite is beautiful and free! Outside of Zavalla in East Texas at a spot called lake bouton campsite. We got here a few days ago on the 10th and a few minutes later got the call that Andys mom had passed. May she rest in peace and not be in pain anymore. It's been an emotional time, but I feel like spending some time in the woods was necessary and good for the mental health. Weather has been great. A little warm actually. Which confuses my brain after all the cold we just left. We've been finding all kinds of things. We found almost an entire beaver skeleton, armadillo spinal column, possum skull and a vulture skeleton. And that's just the dead stuff! The kids found a frog and a salamander today and foraged some mushrooms. It's been fun times.

Well I've not posted here in a while. Got the call to come to Texas from California a little over a month ago for a family emergency and have spent the last month in West Texas. It has been an intense month with Andy helping care for his mom who is on hospice and has been declining fast. We've come to a point where we've found work and have to go again. It's been hard and really emotional for everyone, but im glad we got these last good holiday memories. It's hard to watch someone you love lose their quality of life.
But back to the travel news..... We're now in abeline and have our friend wrenches caravanning with us headed toward work in East Texas. Hoping we can all help each other toward some really awesome stuff. After that we have our sights set on Arkansas and looking into what land it has to offer. Here's to hoping everyone comes up this year!

Been out at Sierra hot springs for a couple days. Visiting good friends and letting the kids play. Andy's been working helping prep for winter. The manager is going to put my macrame in the shop and I'll either get paid a commission or outright buy them at once. Still waiting to meet with her and talk about it. It is beautiful here! Fell down some stairs a few days ago(typical lol) and broke my phone camera. But I can still take pics in selfie mode and my camera just has a bunch of streaks. But here's some pics I got from the drive and when we first got here. More pics will come. Been caught up in catching up and kid play to get many pics haha.

We've been on the mountain outside Oroville, Ca for a bit. Been enjoying the woods and working on a veggie garden at our friends place. We are always looking for work. Yard work, welding work.... whatever. Been hitting what craft fairs I can get to with my Knotty Thoughts Macrame stuff. But if anyone around the area has work let us know!

In cali up on a mountain for a bit. Upgrading new counters and spending time with friends. Around the oroville area. Will be vending an event in Chico, CA on Sunday with my macrame and were always looking for work in the area. Some pics of us putting in the redwood counter and kids and dogs playing. Woohoo for new shoes! Greased up all her joints, got two new front tires and switched the fu**ed up one with one of our front AP tires until we can get new ones in back. And keeping the other front as a spare in case of emergencies. But woo for new tires and no more squeaking while we drive lol. Love bus upgrades

On the road again.... in Vegas for the night waiting to get a couple new tires in the morning. Got enough gas to get us about 300 miles. This heat is s**t it was like 108 today. After gas and tires we be broke ass mofos. If anyone between Vegas and Reno has any work they need done. Andy welds but we can do other stuff too. Andys pretty handy.....just don't call him handy Andy 😝 and I can do stuff if the kids will let me lol... but for real if we could even make enough for the rest of the gas we need to get to Fernley and a fan for the bus since ours burnt out it would be badass. Also here's a bonus video of Penny singing and playing a drum.
