Our autonomous ground-effect vessels demonstrate the future of uncrewed logistics and innovation. Their capabilities offer a strong solution to the many challenges facing logistics in interisland, coastal, lake, wetland and riverine environments.

This groundbreaking competition, sponsored by the Michigan National Guard, Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Michigan Department of Transportation, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation showcases cutting-edge autonomous systems from teams across 7 states and 3 countries. It’s a bold step forward for defense and commercial tech alike.

We met with Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Congresswoman Jen Kiggans to talk about Flying Ships, innovation and manufacturing in Virginia, and government-industry collaboration in the Commonwealth. We're extremely grateful to VIPC and VABA for their ongoing support and the opportunity to meet with key government officials to advance our next-generation transportation solutions.

“When we first got it off the ground … that was a nail-biter," recalls Flying Ship co-founder and CEO Bill Peterson. "We didn’t know what kind of conditions it would work under, but seeing it work over a body of water was incredible, nerve-wracking and exhilarating all at the same time.”
