It has been one full year since I bought the first home I'll ever own, Miss Sheila Bluebus 💙 In this one year we have completely built her out to be the coziest home ever, travelled across the country and back, shared beautiful meals with old and new friends, welcomed all the jam sessions and friendly pups along the way...we have journeyed through rainforests, through snow, through deserts, along the coasts of two different oceans. We have slept next to winding rivers, monolithic mountain ranges, forests aglow with autumn gold...as well as all the noisy truck/rest stops along the way 😉 It has been one of the most breathtaking years of my life...and so full of worthwhile work. Bus life is not always carefree and whimsical, we are in survival mode quite often...making sure we have enough water, are parked in a safe place, or are able to get our cold diesel engine started in the middle of nowhere. We have gone without showers for a week or more, completely run out of water, witnessed breaking and entering, been stuck on the Al-Can Highway with a cold engine and a broken generator...it has been one hell of an adventure so far. We are still learning every day how best to live tiny and well travelled 😎 Here's to a new year with Sheila B!
