For me, wine is so much more interesting when you get to meet the people behind it.

When the winemaker takes the time to sit with you.
To tell you the story.
To explain the land, the choices, the challenges, the years of learning behind a bottle.

And when you feel their passion, suddenly you are not simply tasting wine anymore. You are connecting with a person, a place and a story.

This is what I loved about meeting a couple of years ago and reconnecting again: the time, the knowledge, the passion.

And this is exactly what I want to share through Le Petit Paradis Experiences.
Not rushing from one tasting to another.
Not ticking boxes.
Meeting the winemaker. Taking the time. Asking questions. Understanding. Connecting.

A completely bespoke journey through the Cape Winelands.
This is an example of an itinerary I recently designed for a tour operator looking to create something far beyond the usual wine tour, for a small group of women.

A place to rest. Conversations around a long lunch. Hands in the clay. Stories from local makers. Mountain walks. Botanical workshops. Farm-to-table meals. Moments that guests will remember long after they return home.

With Women’s Month here in South Africa, it felt like the right time to share this one, though honestly, women deserve journeys like this any month of the year.

At Saratoga Farm, we don't just show you where your fruit comes from. We open the door to the universe behind it: the farmers, the workers, the hands and stories that bring it to your table.

Farming is complex; the seasons, the soil, the labour, the risk, the politics, regulations... But here, we discover all of it in the simplest, most real way possible: through the people living it every day. You don't need to be a food lover or a farming enthusiast to be moved by this. You'll walk away having learned so much more than where fruit comes from , you'll understand the social fabric and the economy that holds our region, and so much of South Africa, together.
