VKG, previously known as Vintage Kinda Gal was established in 2016 to share our love for timeless fashion and to create a hub for fashion lovers that like to shake it up! In 2019, we underwent a relaunch and to accompany our vintage and thrift clothing, we also stock an array of modern, trendy and out of the box shoes, accessories and handbags that will make any true fashionista's heart flutter!

Vintage kinda Gal was established to share the love for timeless fashion and elegant pieces. Do you ever get excited seeing a hoop skirt from the 50s or the glittering flappers from the 20s? Like music, clothes always brings with
nostalgia which can
transport one to an era where you feel at home. Today's fashion has been inspired by yesteryears designs, as the saying goes "when one looks good, one feels good" so why not do that and more in vintage style. Vintage kinda Gal looks to provide quality pieces at affordable prices and carry on the trends of the eras gone by. We would also like to share the ideas and inspirations from fellow vintage lovers. So if you buy an item please post a photo cause you are a Vintage kinda gal after all. Side Note:

Our Story

VKG, previously known as Vintage Kinda Gal was established in 2016 to share our love for timeless fashion and to create a hub for fashion lovers that like to shake it up! Our thrift and vintage clothing are pre-loved, this just adds to the excitement of finding a one in a million piece! In May 2019, we underwent a relaunch and to accompany our vintage and thrift clothing, we added an array of modern, trendy and out of the box shoes, accessories and handbags that will make any true fashionista's heart flutter!

We like a standout, however we are also conscious that dressing well or being stylish does not have to come with a hefty price-tag. Also in a world consumed by fast fashion with duplicated styles, thrift clothing and the uniqueness that vintage clothing offers is the perfect addition to a modern wardrobe to bring forth and express individuality. On the other hand, modern fashion modernizes vintage and thrift clothes and removes the dreaded ‘dressed for a costume party’ look- especially the 1980s ones, no one likes to look like a costume party when there isn’t one!

We ship all over South Africa, and as a self-funded start-up business our aim is to grow our platform bigger and add many more products in the next few years; even more as e-commerce grows in Africa we hope to increase our reach to rest of the continent. We also aim to bring an efficient, secure and seamless end-to-end online shopping experience. We want to bring Mzansi’s women the fashion they love to their fingertips!
