Italian flagged cruise ships trapped at Cape Town cruise terminal — suspected of carrying people onboard with (or ) — are now free to depart after a 4-day waiting period.

All tests conducted returned a negative result and both passengers and crew are now cleared to disembark. They will be permitted to enter Cape Town and travel out of the country uninhibited.

CAPE TOWN CRUISE NEWS:

More than 1,700 people are trapped aboard a cruise liner in Cape Town, due to the terrifying COVID-19 virus.

Six passengers from the ship, which set sail from Walvis Bay on Friday, were reportedly on a flight with a person now exhibiting Coronavirus symptoms.

Those passengers, who flew to Cape Town from Istanbul, have since been evacuated and taken to hospital for tests.

The remaining 1,720 passengers and crew are currently confined to the cruise ship at Cape Town Cruise Terminal.
