There are many things that stand out throughout life. Celebrating birthday parties and important milestones like weddings and anniversaries probably feature high up on your list. They do on mine too!
But I know just the idea of planning an event can be overwhelming for many. Here two factors weigh heavily
I learnt a few years ago that it is possible to have a beautiful event on a minimal budget. What's more, there is life after every event/gathering and it should not be something that puts you into debt.
When it came to my wedding, I decided to put my creativity to the test. My husband-to-be and I hand made our wedding invitations and went as far as coming up with a candy bar that included our personal favourites from our childhood. Our guests were delighted and we could not have been more ecstatic. Though we didn’t get to see much of that candy bar, until we viewed our wedding images! Our self-made candy bar created such an impact that it became the “trend” that was carried out at gatherings that followed.
That’s when I realised that I could create absolutely anything. All it takes is applying my mind to it and putting in that extra time and effort. Since then, my creative juices have been flowing... in fact, that folder on my desktop is overflowing with ideas and my “Little Black Book” is peppered with details.
With a few events already under my wings, I am delighted to be officially launching Icandy Events.
This is my promise to you - a lot of time, effort, ideas, creativity, love, passion and originality goes into creating (or re-creating) memories that will last a lifetime & leave an imprint on your heart (not to mention your kids).
Cost will never be a factor, as customised and themed party packs, favours, stationery and candy bars are created around the following questions:-
- “What is your preferred theme?”
- “What are some of the items that you would like include?”
- “How much would you like to spend?”
- Or simply- “Send me images of what you would like & the ideas you have & we can work from there” (Your vision should always be the benchmark for me to execute perfection)
I know that finding exactly what you have envisioned is, more often than not, impossible. Nothing in retail is ever custom made to tick off every single little box you have and who wants to pay for way more than what is needed? Let us be honest, finding quantities or quality of items to suit your exact “RSVP” numbers in retail isn’t convenient. You could end up making trips to 10 different places and searching frantically on the internet for items that you would like to include; that + the courier costs + being so super-duper stressed because an item is “Out of Stock” or shipments are delayed. And to add to that, you simply cannot source the specific colour that you needed - because “wanting” went out the window a long time ago.
