Morning all Good Samaritans who supported GLC United. Apologies for being quite and unti-social, anyways GLC United has been on pause due to personal circumstances.

In due course/time the team behind GLC United will issues a report and a statement regarding moving forward and an action plan for the revival and continuity of our program. Lastly we would like to thank each and everyone who played an important role in insuring our goal and vision is achieved❤🙏...

Official Statement

After careful consideration and consultation with our stakeholders of GLC United. We pride ourselves with joy through the support you've shown in reaching our target. We would like to announce that at by Mid-April 2024 we had already reached our target of donating clothes to 30 families around GLC and more hence we've been quite. We we're poundering and weighing up on how we should proceed moving forward after reaching our target.

We have come to a decision to proceed forward with our programme that was supposed to end on the 30th of May 2024... is officially an annual programme. After careful consideration we realized there's a lot of demand for clothing amongst our communities... From now on moving forward will be changing with Seasons, we saw a need to hold hands and help fight the imbalances in our communities!!!

We would really like to salute each and every individual who played a positive role in reaching our target and to those we've not responded or stalled, on our collections please❤🙏🏿 bear with us... As we didn't want to collect and stock pile clothes... Apologies❤🙏🏿!!!

Moving forward we now have identified 10 new families for the second round and we would like to urge the communities to help us identify a total of 30 new families and we also urge someone who knows someone who's ineed to come forward or arrange with the following personnel: Thulani Santago , Letlamoreng Ngwana Ausi Sarah , or hala directly to me.

GLC United (Feedback regarding school shoe's drive)

Good afternoon GLC. On the 8th of April 2024 as GLC United we posted a humbly request of school shoe's for a 14 year old girl and We proud to say the request was met.... By a Good Samaritan who bought the shoes. We saying thank you to those who shared the post and thank you again to the lady who acted swiftly and selflessly to communicate and arranged with the donor!!!!

Furthermore we received a donation of R200 from another Good Samaritan of which we used it, to meet another request from one of the families from our long list of request with basic foods needs.

Thank you GLC for your continued support our programmes remains on course for success with your support ❤️🙏

Mid Objective Report ⚠️

Hi GLC our mid objective report as GLC United on our winter drive programme stands as follows... As of 21st March 2024 we had already identified and approached thirty (30) families of which were in-need of clothing. Out of those thirty (30) families we have managed to cover fifteen (15) families with every item of clothing we have received.

NB: For humanity purposes we will not be posting pictures of families that we have reached❤️🙏

Challenges Faced

Transportation: We had an overwhelming values of donations from the communities of GLC as we had to move around collecting clothes on foot, as we have no financial muscle to hire transportation.... Hence we asked for a donation of a bicycle to help us collect with easy.

Data and Airtime: We encountered it as a challenge as most of our donors wanted to communicate through phone calls and WhatsApp. It was a challenge for us as in some instances we had neither!!!!

Shortage of Detergents (washing powder) : The challenge was that we had to wash and iron the clothes before distribution, it was a challenge as we had a shortage of washing powder & fabric soften
