Today we delivered a birthday cake. Earlier this year, we delivered ashes.

Today, a mom asked us to collect a birthday cake from a Fairy. It seems like just another delivery, but somewhere between the collection and the drop-off, we found ourselves thinking about how precious life really is.

Earlier this year, in March, we were entrusted with something very different. We collected an Ash-box from a Parlour on behalf of the daughters of a dear client we had lost, a mother whose life had come to an end.

Two deliveries. Two families. Two completely different scenarios for calling a Courier.

One was about celebrating that someone is here.
The other was about coming to terms with the fact that someone is no longer here.

And somewhere in between those two moments, we realised just how much a Courier can become part of people's lives.

We carry parcels, documents, gifts and cakes but sometimes, without even knowing it, we carry moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives.

Today reminded us of something simple, celebrate those dear to you whilst they live. Call them, visit them, buy the cake, send the gift, make the memories, take the pictures; because life doesn't always give us tomorrow.

And if there's one thing we're grateful for, it's that through this service, we get to play a small part in life's most ordinary and sometimes most profound moments.
