Lila Global has completed the acquisition and delivery of Lila Meppen and Lila Emden, two 1,368 TEU sister vessels that further strengthen our growing feeder fleet.

As Henning Prinzen, Head of Germany Office at Lila Global, noted:
“Lila Meppen and Lila Emden mark another step in the expansion of Lila Global’s container fleet. Operating two sister vessels also provides technical synergies, and we intend to continue expanding our container fleet selectively.”

Back in the water and ready for operations.

Following the successful completion of her scheduled dry-docking, Lila Marseille is once again underway.

The docking programme included targeted propulsion-efficiency improvements and the application of a high-performance antifouling coating, supporting our continued focus on fuel-efficient and reliable vessel operations.

This marks an important milestone made possible by the careful coordination of the vessel’s crew, technical team, shipyard and project partners.

Lila Global has expanded its J19 chemical tanker fleet from four to eight vessels following the acquisition of four ships from Easterly Clear Ocean.

The vessels, now named Lila Gela, Lila Antwerp, Lila Izmit and Lila Montreal, will continue trading through the WOMAR pool, supporting commercial continuity and flexibility across regional chemical and clean-products markets.

The acquisition reflects Lila Global’s disciplined approach to adding quality assets in segments where it sees a clear commercial role, manageable supply growth and opportunities to build operating scale.

Gyungbae Gil, Head of Lila Global’s South Korea Office, also highlighted the vessels’ energy-saving devices, good CII performance and the company’s constructive outlook for the J19 segment.

Owner remains positive on the outlook for J19 segment

Practical upgrades. Measurable efficiency.

During the recent dry-docking of Lila Marseille, we completed a targeted package of energy-saving improvements designed to enhance propulsion efficiency and reduce fuel consumption during normal vessel operations.

The upgrades included the installation of Pre-Swirl Fins, Propeller Boss Cap Fins and propeller trimming.

Each measure addresses a different area of hydrodynamic performance. Together, they are expected to support an overall fuel-saving potential of approximately 5–6%.

The hull was also protected with Nippon FASTAR XI high-performance antifouling coating, helping maintain a smoother underwater surface and supporting efficient performance between dry-docking periods.

These are practical engineering improvements, but their impact extends well beyond the dry dock. Reduced resistance and improved propulsion efficiency can contribute to lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and more efficient vessel operations.

First loading, first voyage chapter with Lila Global

Following her recent welcome to the Lila Global fleet, Lila Meppen has now begun her operational journey with us.

Captured during her loading operation in Malta, the vessel is entering commercial service under charter to CMA CGM.

With a nominal capacity of 1,368 TEU, Lila Meppen adds further strength to our container fleet and reflects our commitment to building a capable, diversified and commercially responsive platform across vessel segments.

This first loading is more than an operational milestone. It marks the start of a new chapter for the vessel under Lila Global ownership.

Lila Norfolk, our Capesize bulk carrier, has recently completed her dry dock, with a clear focus on improving fuel efficiency and operational performance.

During the dry dock, the vessel was fitted with a combination of energy saving devices including PSF, PBCF and propeller trimming. Together, these improvements are expected to support an overall fuel saving of around 5-6% during regular operations.

A high-performance antifouling coating has also been applied to the hull to support cleaner underwater performance and long-term efficiency at sea.
