UNRA to Remove Abandoned Truck

The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has announced that it will tow away an abandoned truck that has been parked on the Kireka - Namugongo Road for five years.
The truck, which has been the subject of black magic tales, will be removed on Saturday, June, 2024, in an operation involving mechanics, police, and local leaders.

UNRA spokesperson Allan Ssempebwa said that “the authority has found a mechanical solution to tow the truck, which belongs to Mr. Robert Tumusiime”.

The truck was abandoned five years ago after Mr. Tumusiime's businesses went south following a failed government contract.

The removal of the truck is expected to bring relief to residents and motorists who have been affected by its presence on the road.
