🐻❤️ A tiny bear cub trapped in a highway storm drain cried for help. For more than four hours, wildlife rescuers worked to save him while his worried mother waited nearby in the forest.

Then came the moment everyone was hoping for.

The cub was released at the edge of the woods. Seconds later, his mother emerged from the trees, reunited with her baby, and disappeared back into the forest.

In less than 90 seconds, everything was right again. 🥹🌲

🐺 California’s wolves are making a comeback, but budget cuts could put their future at risk.

Do you think the state should increase funding to protect wolves and help ranchers coexist?

👍 Yes
😮 No
🤔 Not Sure

🐺 California’s wolf population has made an incredible comeback after disappearing from the state nearly 100 years ago.

But conservation groups and ranchers are now raising concerns that proposed budget cuts could threaten that progress. Funding for wolf management, livestock compensation, and human-wildlife conflict programs may be reduced or eliminated, leaving fewer resources to help wolves and people coexist.

With around 10 wolf packs now roaming Northern California, both wildlife advocates and cattle ranchers agree on one thing: successful wolf recovery requires continued investment.

Can California protect its growing wolf population while supporting local ranchers? 🤔🐺

🐾💔 Drought is pushing more wildlife into danger—but compassion is giving them a second chance.

This spring, Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center rescued an incredible 303 animals in just one month, from baby foxes and ducklings to tiny ground squirrels and opossums. Every rescue is a reminder that even in the toughest conditions, hope still survives.

One small act of kindness can help save a life. ❤️🦊

What would you do if you found an injured baby animal?

For decades, jaguars were only occasional visitors to the U.S., mostly lone males crossing from Mexico. 🐆
Now, trail cameras in Arizona have documented a female jaguar with cubs—the first confirmed breeding event in generations. The discovery suggests jaguars may be beginning to re-establish a breeding presence in part of their historic U.S. range, marking a significant milestone for wildlife conservation.

A hiking trip in Montana turned into a nightmare when Daniel Crago came face-to-face with a grizzly bear and her cub near Glacier National Park. Even after following safety advice and speaking loudly to alert the bear, he was attacked within seconds.

The grizzly bit his arm, dragged him several feet, and left him with severe injuries that required multiple surgeries. Thankfully, quick-thinking hikers and a doctor on the trail helped save his life until he could be airlifted to a hospital.

Crago is expected to recover, but doctors say it could take up to two years. His experience is a powerful reminder that even when people do everything right, encounters with wild grizzly bears can be unpredictable and dangerous.
